I use to have a fear of cats when I was younger. I did not know much about the world when I was little, so the first time I saw a cat, I was freaked out. I remember being at the top of the stairs in my apartment building and being so scared I unintentionally backed up and rolled down them. Eventually, I learned how cute and friendly cats can be, having one as a pet now that I am older. Today, we continued and finished up our video on our specific letter from The Color Purple by Alice Walker. I did not like this lesson today, as the school wifi was acting up all day, so I was able to get no work done on my video. I instead wrote down and storyboarded it so I could finish it up at home. Today, I have feel okay. Jazz Band rehearsal was cancelled, so I get to go home and practice for 2 concerts I have later this week.
When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?
When I'm in a unfavorable mood, I try to do activities that I enjoy. For instance, when I am angry, I drum and hit as hard as I can as a way to relieve the tension building up. When I'm upset, I play video games or talk on the phone with friends to distract myself from whatever made me upset. When I'm stressed, I watch videos about interesting or niche topics. Today, we created a digital mood board on The Yellow Wallpaper. With the help of AI and using quotes from the text, we created moods boards that depicted the narrator's emotions at the 3 major stages of the story. This was a fun and easy way to end the week, finally allowing us to use AI to do work. Today, I feel tired. I slept late and had to wake up for my Calculus class at GSU. I got home late so I didn't get to have an adequate nap, so I want to catch up on the sleep I missed.
