Today, we looked at everyone’s group presentations. We were the Self-Esteem explorers and had to analyze the speaker’s view on societal norms. I learned everyone’s perspective and interpretation of their group’s assignment, such at what they believe the Frog meant or what the central themes were. I liked this because everyone had a part and slide they had to do and then come all together at the end to finish the presentation. Today, I feel good. Lakeside is playing against St. Pius today, and I hope we win. I will put the outcome after it is done. (We lost.)
When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?
When I'm in a unfavorable mood, I try to do activities that I enjoy. For instance, when I am angry, I drum and hit as hard as I can as a way to relieve the tension building up. When I'm upset, I play video games or talk on the phone with friends to distract myself from whatever made me upset. When I'm stressed, I watch videos about interesting or niche topics. Today, we created a digital mood board on The Yellow Wallpaper. With the help of AI and using quotes from the text, we created moods boards that depicted the narrator's emotions at the 3 major stages of the story. This was a fun and easy way to end the week, finally allowing us to use AI to do work. Today, I feel tired. I slept late and had to wake up for my Calculus class at GSU. I got home late so I didn't get to have an adequate nap, so I want to catch up on the sleep I missed.
